Fora Travel provides a modern way for people to plan, book, and experience travel through their Advisor services. The Lawrence Group was contracted to determine the design vision for their Pop-Up and Retail spaces in a prototypical fashion.

As a primarily digital platform, we were tasked with developing a space that would serve both as a home base for advisors and their hotel/travel partners, as well as a meeting space for travelers to connect with their advisors.

MOOD BOARD

Using a “blank piece of paper,” The Lawrence Group developed the programmatic elements, crafting the details and experience of the customer journey as well as the operational requirements for the business flow and staff functions at the front of house. Working with the clients, we discerned how their digital operations would translate into an in-person experience.

The clients resonated with an open “Living Room” layout that consisted of various types of seating arrangements so that multiple travel advisors could meet with clients simultaneously. The different types of seating arrangements were meant to engage clients at different stages of their planning journey, with more informative spaces by the entry, casual seating in the center of the space for building client relationships, and formal meeting spaces for advisors to do work and close deals.

As Project Manager, I lead weekly Page-Turn meetings with the client’s in-house design team and construction managers, ensuring that each project is progressing on schedule and addressing design issues that arise during production and construction.

While Vuori already came to The Lawrence Group with a strong visual identity, with each project, coordination is required to adapt to local codes and environmental conditions. Freedom is given to design the storefronts within the Vuori aesthetic while responding to the city and the local surroundings.
